Sesame Street Fun

I love Sesame Street. I always have for as long as I can remember. I can't say I am a big fan of a few of the new characters (Elmo, his voice grates on the ears!) but overall I love the show.
When Patrick was little he would watch it every day, so I went out and bought some VHS videos for him to watch when the show was over for the day. He absorbed those stories. They are the classics with all the characters we loved when we were kids.

Now that Patrick is almost 12 I had forgotten about that movie. Of course we don't even have a VCR anymore and the tape was DIed long ago. We were at the library for storytime and I saw the DVD Sesame Street Learning about Letters. I hate to admit it but I got a little giddy. I grabbed that box! I figured the boys would watch 5 minutes and be done with it. Nope! They love it. Their favorite part is Lena Horne singing the ABC song. It is from the 80's. Very nostalgic. I wish I had a video camera so you could see how they sing and dance to this song. It cracks me up. I have to keep hitting the back button because they want to watch it over and over. My favorite is Bert and Ernie singing the L song. If you ever have the chance to get it at your library or buy it do. It is entertaining, not annoying when they want to repeat it, and of course it teaches kids their letters.
Go Sesame Street!!

He Broke It!

Well Simon finally did it. Somehow that kid has had the ability to find my camera no matter where I put it. One minute it is up where I think he can't reach it and the next he is bringing it to me wanting his picture taken. On Friday he brought it to me and he had tried to push in the lens. Needless to say he broke it. Can't say I am too broken hearted, it wasn't the best camera in the world. The picture color always was just a little off. So now I am looking for a new camera. Any suggestions? I am hoping to be able to spend, at the most, $250.00.

I hope I can get one soon, but until then I will just describe in vivid detail here on this page everything that is going on at the Heiner house. Just what you wanted right??? ;)
