Liam's 5th Birthday

Today is Liam's birthday. When asked what cake he wanted all he would say was a porcupine. I had to invent this cake. This is what I came up with...

Cake, frosting, and chocolate Twizzlers. Liam thinks it is perfect and since it was his cake that worked for me. He has been excited and giggly all day, and acting like a goof.
Present time! Motorcycles and Scooby Do were the main gifts. Grandma got him a coloring book and a preschool book. Uncle Aaron and Aunt Amy got him some cool motorcycles. Mom and Dad got him Scooby Doo cars, a Scooby Doo movie, and a motorcycle track. He and Simon have been going to town on the tile floor.
Today was a great day.
Happy Birthday Liam. We love you!!

Family Home Evening

At our house Monday night is Family Home Evening. We sit together, read our scriptures, and have a lesson. Most of the time Liam and Simon lose interest after scripture reading. (While we read they color their blue Book of Mormons)
To keep them quiet tonight I sent them for paper and crayons while Sean talked about being a missionary. I looked down on the floor and there was Liam... with crayons between his toes. The look on his face was priceless. He was concentrating soooo hard.

Simon copies everything that Liam does, therefore in went the crayons. I forced them to keep them stuck there while I ran and got the camera.

Tonight we were enriched in more ways than one. We got to eat pizza for dinner, read our scriptures, learn a great lesson on being good missionaries, and got entertained by the boys and their crayon toes.
Thanks kids, you make it all worth it!
